Refinishing vs. New Pews

It happened again!  A church in Maryland recently approached asking if we would be interested in buying their pews as they had decided to buy new.

Simple request, but when they sent the pictures, we soon realized these pews were perfect candidates for refinishing.  They were substantially constructed of solid oak; unfortunately, over the years, someone got the brilliant idea to paint the backs and ends white.

After a closer look, we offered to refinish a half pew at no cost or obligation.

Once again, they were astounded to see what lie beneath the old varnish and white paint.

Note the before pictures taken at the church, and the after pictures taken after the installation.

Ave, Ave, Ave Maria.

Thank you and your company for all that you’ve done. I can only imagine the work that went in to refurbish our pews! Everyone is super happy. May the Lord continue to bless you and the work that the Keck Group does in service to Him. I know He has put this ministry into existence to help improve His Church on Earth – making the houses of God where His Son dwells worthy of worshiping in. May you continue to improve the sacred spaces of Churches until you no longer can. Give it all – and give God the glory.

Although the author of the testimonial and the church itself are not named, the obvious raves sure made all of us at the Keck Group feel not only proud of our influencing the choice, but the fact that once more refinishing won out, and who would have known if we hadn’t pushed for the sample!

We offer free samples once we do our homework to make sure this is the way to go, and the finances are in place.  Once again, on this project as in many others, one prominent donor made a substantial donation to cover the project.
