The Roman Catholic Church of St. Ignatius Loyola was dedicated by the most reverend Michael Corrigan on December 11th, 1898. The building was designed by Schickel and Ditmars, famous church architects of their time. (Picture 1)
In 2008, the church interior was restored to its original natural beauty.
The Keck Group, Inc. was commissioned to restore the pews, while at the same time opening up the spacing for comfort, creating a cross aisle with new matching frontals, and providing new Atwood Hamlin Kneelers.
The entire project was completed in record time during August and September. (Picture 2)
